Hula Summer Session Update

Word of Life Christian Center
Performing Arts Ministries
Summer Session – July 2 – September 10, 2011


Dear Ladies & families,

Thank you for coming to the first class of our Summer Dance Session on Saturday, July 2.
We are so blessed to have you with us, and we encourage you to be faithful to attend the Saturday's classes. Your focused and consistent training is crucial in preparing you both spiritually and technically for ministry. We will set up separate interview times with you within in the next few weeks. We want to get to know you and be able to answer any questions you may have. Please make time to find metered parking and sign in on the registration sheet before instruction begin.  Directional signs will be provided.

Performing Arts Class Schedules @ Waterfront:

8 -8:45am Tahitian (ages 14 & up) -  Maile Room

9-9:45am Hula Level 3 - Tiare Studio (selected participants)
                   Hula level 1 & 2 - Maile Room
  Keiki Hula (ages 7 – 13 yrs old--must demonstrate ability to focus) - Pikake Studio

9:45-10:30am Street/Hip Hop - Maile Room

1-1:45pm Boy’s Polynesian dance - Maile Room

4:00-5:00pm   Kupuna Hula (female and male) - Tiare Studio


ATTIRE
Hula :  Black pants (yoga, athletic pants), white t-shirt (no straps), and hair pulled back (ponytail)
Tahitian :  Black tank top & sarong wrap
Hip Hop :  Comfortable pants and shoes

CHILDCARE
We love your children and their safety is important to us. We ask if they are not enrolled in classes to please find childcare for them or bring someone who can attend to them while you are in classes. Bring snacks and drinks for them and we ask they wear shoes, again for their safety.

COMMUNICATION
We encourage you to keep up-to-date regarding our Performing Arts Ministries by daily checking the website, especially before rehearsals or performances.  This website is our general form of communication.  The second mode of communication is email reserved for detailed information; and lastly, text messages are used for time-sensitive information. Your immediate response to a text message is imperative.

No SMPA classes this Saturday July 9th

Aloha,
Due to Word of Life's Vision Weekend, there will be no SMPA classes this Saturday.  This includes all AM and PM classes: Hula, Tahitian, Polynesian, Keiki, Kupuna, Hip Hop, and Street dance.

We hope to see all the families at the sanctuary catching the vision and spirit of our house--God's Uncommon Church.
