Thank you to all the ladies who participated in the hula segment of the Polynesian production. Praise the Lord, you were willing to try something new--interpretive dance. Although we were only a few moments, God saw our willingness to fulfill the desire of our Pastors.

Hula on Saturday, 8/18/12 9am @ Tiare Studio, Waterfront
We are building an army of worshippers. Every Saturday (with a few exceptions), we gather together and share the Word, unite in Prayer, and Worship with our spirit and body. Why? Because we are on a mission! We are preparing for the harvest each week for our services. Whether or not we minister in hula, we are a part of the PW team that has the hearts of our Pastors. And, if our pastors should call us to mount the platform, we are ready to flow in the Holy Ghost with no fear or limitations.
In about 4 weeks, our Catch His Fire and Carry His Flame conference will be here, September 14th-September 23rd. I am certain the performing arts ministry will be a part of the opening celebration. Those of you who have been a part of a production know your labor of love, time, and talent is not in vain.
Please begin to plan now to attend the conference, as well as available to minister. It's like a canoe race. There is practice, practice, practice, then on game day the team in united and ready to win. Such is the case when ministering with the PW team. We practice, practice, practice and when we are called, we are ready to win souls for Christ.
Be refreshed, Be inspired and Be fit for the Master's Use. See you Saturday!
Remember black pant bottoms and white tops are the preferred attire. Don't forget the water bottles and quarters for the side street meter parking.
Love always.

Relentless Lyrics
By Richardo Sanchez
Versus 1
Your grace, your grace
Will always be greater than my sin
It carries not limitation
The promise of your grace
Versus 2
Your love, your love
It take me just as I am
It melts all of my defenses
The wonders of of Your love
Chorus
You, God, are relentless
With forgiveness
How it covers me, covers
Your grance is sufficient
And its mission Is to cover me, cover, yeah
Bridge
I love You, Lord
You love me, Lord
Relentlessly
Your love has captured me
Versus 1
Your grace, your grace
Will always be greater than my sin
It carries not limitation
The promise of your grace
Versus 2
Your love, your love
It take me just as I am
It melts all of my defenses
The wonders of of Your love
Chorus
You, God, are relentless
With forgiveness
How it covers me, covers
Your grance is sufficient
And its mission Is to cover me, cover, yeah
Bridge
I love You, Lord
You love me, Lord
Relentlessly
Your love has captured me
Hula Ministry Begins with Focus
Hula class flowed like this...
Remember we are ministers of the gospel. From that perspective, we must meditate on the lyrics of the song we are ministering to the congregation. We never want to get to a place where we are so focused on the choreography and staging that we miss our vital role as a ministers of the gospel.
WOL goes through seasons of singing the same worship song weekend after weekend, but there is a reason. There's something God wants to tell His people. It is the hula ministry job to stand with the PW team to deliver that message effectively. We need to ask God, what do you want me to present to your people? Why this song? Then, give your talents to God to show Himself mightily to His people. Just like reading the same scripture over and over again, when we minister the same song over and over again, we can get something new every single time.
While reviewing just the first verse of Relentless together, Kanoe shared that "we" need to always be reminded that no matter how much we feel unworthy or guilty for what we did or didn't do, God's grace will be there in the house of God to forgive us and love us without any conditions. Pua shared an awesome testimony of how, for a season, she needed to take a break from hula due to a physical challenge. The doctor's report stated her inability to learn and retain information; but God's grace made a way for her to minister on Sunday evening at the FIRE production--that's God's awesome grace.
Not knowing why, Kathleen shared a thought she had in morning prayer, "you need to be 'responsible' to grow." Anita, added P. Chauncey has been ministering at the Kahului campus that responsibility is our "response" to God's "ability"! She continued saying, most people think that responsibility means burden or burdensome, but no! It is simply a response to God's direction. God will give us the ability to do what He has asked us to do--whatever we are responsibility for. How's that... Kathleen had a thought and Anita finished it. Why? Because God is showing Himself strong in the hula ministry.
Everyone was in agreement that the weekend with the Copelands brought us back to where we once were...speaking the Word and taking Authority. Yumiko ended our fellowhip with a prayer in Japanese. It was awesome to hear the ladies come into agreement as we spoke in tongues. KAMI SAMA NO SHUKUFUKU O (God bless you).
As we rehearsed the Relentless choreography, Anita defined the level changes to be sure we were in flowing together. Ui, was a hugh support in assisting Anita with body and hand placement. There is tremendous power in our hula ministry. Tap in to God's greatness by being active in God's annointed ministry. Please see the lyrics of Relentless on the blog. Practice the choreography in secret (privately) and God will reward your devotion publicly.
Stay tuned to hula ministry updates by checking the blog weekly, especially on Fridays before Saturdays' classes. YOU ARE LOVED!

Hi'ilawe lyrics
Kamaka ka ikena ia Hi’iawe All eyes are on Hi’ilawe
i ka papa lohi mai a’o Maukele In the sparkling lowlands of Maukele
Pakele mai au i ka nui manu I escape all the birds
Hauwala’au nei puni Waipi’o Chattering everywhere in Waip’io
A’ole no wau e loa’a mai I am not caught
A he uhiwai au no ke kuahiwi for I am the mist of the mountains
He hiwahiwa au no ka makua I am the darling of the parents
A he lei’a’i na ke kuapuna And a lei for the necks of grandparents
Na puna ke’ala i hali’ia mai The fragrance is wafted from Puna
Noho i ka wailele a’o Hi’ilawe And lives at Hi’ilawe
Ha’ina ‘ia mai ana ka puana Tell the refrain
Kamaka ka ‘ikena ia Hi’ilawe All eyes are on Hi’ilawe

New Performing Arts Hula Ministry
Please read the message below. Hope to see you soon. Any questions, please call Kathleen, 223-3484.
Hula Ministry Vision:
To promote a heart of worship that desires to be an expression of God’s anointing through the art of dance.
Goals:
- To appreciate and flow in unity by committing to each other and fellowshipping in Word & prayer.
- To discipline the mind and body through core exercise, coordination, and choreography by adapting to modified-versions of Polynesian dance.
- T o acquire the skills and technique of a polished dance-minister through unconventional methods and spiritual direction.
- To dance as ONE in worship.
Method:
This session is structured on a three-part lesson rotation:
o Polynesian & Hula Basics
o Ministry Hula Basics
o Ministry Choreography
There will only be one class per Saturday from 8:30-10am. The class lesson will focus on one of the above lessons. Participants are encouraged to attend every Saturday, despite their level of hula experience or preference. We believe this strategy will provide the depth necessary to build a strong foundation for our ministry and to attain our goals. However, please remain open and flexible, should there be a change in method.
Brief Class Descriptions:
Polynesian & Hula Basics – This class is training in core movements, body coordination, and simple choreography of Tahitian, Maori, Instruments, and hula.
Ministry Hula Basics – This class is designed to teach the ministry style of hula (an adaptation of traditional hula) for example dancing as a line with “clean” hands & arm movements, “angles,” “leans,” posture, “weight-placement” and other subtle details that make the hula ministry team flow as ONE.
Ministry Choreography – The pre-requisite for this class is attending the other two basic classes. The purpose of this class is to enhance your worship time with God. The class will include a time of learning lyrics, singing, reflecting, and visualizing the heart of the song in order to connect with the choreography. The choreography should be rooted in us to give God the liberty to flow through us.

2012 Performing Arts Classes start January 21st
Aloha Ladies,
