Items to bring to Devoted Gala on Saturday

Reminder Report time to the Gala is 12 noon.  It is important to be on time because we must do the following:

• Final costumes fitting and assignments
• Making fresh flowers accessories
• Setting up outfits and accessories in dressing room
• Confirm the lighting and staging for each segment
• Dry-run of the entire production--to include all pieces not just hula
• Make-up and getting dress

Reminder to bring the following items to Gala

• Two yellow plumeria leis (plumerias with point tips--not round--keep string open--don't tie)
• 7 loose plumeria flowers
• White tights (ankle length)
• Black tights (ankle length)
• If in tahitian, black biker shorts
• Strapless bra, preferably nude color
• Full pantie, preferable nude color
• White tube top (like at Jeans Warehouse)
• Bring snacks, food, and drinks

Stage Tool Kit

Hi Ladies, 

Just wanted to share with you the standard items we have in our stage kit that when we minister at services and hula productions.

**Stage tool kit:

• Hair spray, gel, brush/comb

• Bobby pins—a must have (small & large), hair net (making your hair color)

• Safety pins—another must have (med to large size)

• Body foundation to cover tatoos and/or any blemishes

• Body lotion, deodorant

• Face foundation & powder (loose or compact), bronzer (for contouring) and/or blush, brown or black eyeshadow (for eye contouring), your favorite eyeshadows, natural red lipstick, lip gloss, false eyelashes with eyelash glue

• Stand up mirror (to avoid using the restroom mirrors—it gets pretty crazy with the actors and public traffic).

• Beige/nude pantie, beige/nude half slip, beige/nude strapless bra

• Beige, nude or black biker shorts or girdle

2013 NO DEVOTED PRODUCTION REHEARSAL TONIGHT

Rehearsal 6/12/13 has been rescheduled for Friday; therefore we have rehearsal Thursday, 6/13/13, Friday, 6/14/13 and Saturday, 6/15/13.

In lieu of formal rehearsal, please use this time to review and solidify the choreography for the songs taught thus far.

Devoted Conference, 2013 Preparations

All hula ladies,

• We welcome all ladies to audition for the Devoted Conference Production.  Teaching choreography has started last week Saturday, 6/1/13 and continued today, 6/8/13. 
• There are 8 hula segments of the Devoted Gala production, therefore, we need to have at least 3 rehearsals a week, until the day of.  Please text your availability for week nights to Kathleen as soon as possible.  We are thinking from 6:30pm-9pm.  If you can make it earlier than 6:30pm, please let us know that too.  We can meet as early at Monday, 6/10/13.
• The next two Saturdays before the conference (15th and 22nd), we plan to have rehearsals from 9am-2pm.  Your attendance is crucial.
• On the day of the Gala, 6/29/13 call time is 12noon (we need to finalize placement, staging, transitions, and lighting for 8 segments).  Please plan to stay for the entire time until production at 6pm.

We understand your time is valuable, therefore rehearsing choreography on your own will ensure productive rehearsals.  With God all things are possible.  We have God's commanded blessing as we continue in Unity.
